Something that I forgot to add back in June 2010

Hello All:

I forgot to add this below video from where Tony and I went on vacation back in June 2010, so I am now adding this below video now. (Hey, better late than not at all, right??)  This video is actually a very short video and it is of Tony talking in it.  Tony shot this video at Pine Mountain State Resort Park, near Pineville, Kentucky.  Tony had some really quick comments that he wanted to make and then share with everybody that night (and still now, with my videos below here.)  I just wanted to share this video from Tony, since it went really well with the vacation photos and videos here from the two vacations.

September 2010 Vacation Photos!

Hello All:

Now, as previously promised, here is the photos from the vacation that Tony and I just came home from yesterday, (September 13, 2010.)  I am going to be doing up some videos to go with these photos in the near future and I will be posting the videos on this blog to go with these photos, so I can explain a whole lot more about the photos in this blog.

I hope that you enjoy looking at these photos in this below slide show today, folks!  Oh, and as a side note  --  there's some photos in this slide show that say "January 1, 2009" on them.  Just for the record, the photos that have 1/1/09 on them are actually for September 11, 2010  --  the camera malfunctioned and accidentally put the wrong date on the photos, so I just thought that I would tell you all this information now.  :)

New Photos From My Vacation Coming Soon!!

Hello All:

I am currently working on having photobucket.com (on another screen, of course) upload the photos from the vacation to Carter Caves State Resort Park, located near Olive Hill, Kentucky that I just took with my husband, Tony.  Tony and I were at the state park from September 10-13, 2010.  (Of course, September 13, 2010 is today.)  Tony and I had a really good time at the park.  Below is some basic information for all of you before I post the photos in an upcoming blog, (that
might also include a video as well, once everything is said and done here!!)

For starters, as I mentioned above, the Kentucky state park's name is Carter Caves State Resort Park and it is located just outside of Olive Hill, Kentucky.  The park isn't that big in size down there and in fact, it has a couple of parts that are near to each other  --  yeah, this sounds weird, but I am not making this part up here  --  there's a part of the cave system that is a little ways away from the actual "Main part" of the park itself that is a slight drive to and from the main part of the park itself.

The drive from where Tony and I live in Cold Spring, (Ky) to where the main part of the state park is located is one heck of a ride, folks.  The drive down to the park (especially the way that Tony and I went) took us about oh, I'd say right around 2 hours and 45 minutes or so, and we were not on the interstate for a good portion of that ride.  Yes, you read that correctly  --  we weren't on the interstate for a good portion of our ride down to the state park.  In fact, Tony and I didn't actually get on to an interstate until we were almost there, because of the directions that AAA gave us to get there.  Of course, we didn't go the same way back, because Tony and I didn't want to be stuck going slower than molasses on our way home this afternoon, even though we had to go way out of our way to go on the interstate roads that we were on today to come home.

Any way, please keep an eye out for those photos and some possible videos about the state park, because we really had a good time over the weekend!!  :)

Matching Vacation Videos

Hello All:

Here is the videos from the below vacation that I have just receintly posted photos in a slide show of here in blogger.  Tony and I actually used 2 different cameras on our trip on June 4-7, 2010.  The one camera we used exclusively for just photos, then the camera that I shot these videos on it for just videos, since both the photos and the videos can take up a whole lot of memory space on a digital camera's memory card.  Besides, the camera that I used to take the photos with on the vacation doesn't allow (for some strange reason) us to be able to include any kind of sound, but the camera that we shot these videos on allows us to take videos with all of the sound that we could possibly put on there.

So, without further adieu, (and in random order), here are the videos from my vacation with Tony from the Pine Mountain State Park, near Pineville, Kentucky!  I hope that you enjoy watching these videos!!  :)

New Photos From My Vacation

Hello All:

I went on vacation with Tony, (my husband, of course!) on June 4-7, 2010 to Pine Mountain State Park, which is located just outside of Pineville, Kentucky.  Tony and I visited one of my relatives, who lives about 2 hours away, in Pennington Gap, Virginia; then did some hiking and just "Relaxing," after Tony and I did some hiking near "Chained Rock," which is located inside of Pine Mountain State Park.

Below is the photos from this afore mentioned trip to Pine Mountain State Park and the trip through Cumberland Gap National Park, which covers part of 3 states  --  Kentucky, Virginia and Tennessee.  There are some really nice photos from the national park, (Cumberland Gap) and the Kentucky state park, (Pine Mountain) below.  There are also some really interesting weather related photos below in this slide show, which is mainly why I put this slide show here in this blog, because these weather related photos are really unusual, especially the clouds that are photographed in a few of the shots in this slide show.

Speaking of those above clouds, if you have ever read Alvin Schwartz's Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark series, (all 3 books), then you will get what I am saying here that a few of the cloud formations look like something out of 1 of those books here.  There is no way around saying that the clouds in a few of the below photos in this slide show are really shaped really weird, like nothing that I have (nor Tony for that matter) have seen before I took the below photos.

So, without further adieu, here is the slide show from Tony and my vacation between June 4-7, 2010!  I hope that you enjoy this rather lenghty slide show.  Oh, and as fair warning to you right now, I have right around 1,192 photos in this slide show, so don't be shocked if this slide show takes a bit of time to actually watch all of the way through here!

Digital Camera Photos Slide Show

Hello All:

Here is the long awaited slide show of photos from where Tony and I went to Krohn Conservatory over the weekend last weekend.  Tony & I were at the Krohn Conservatory over in Cincinnati, Ohio's Eden Park on April 18, 2010; just in case you were wondering here.

On a related note, I did take some 35mm photos, but I have not yet developed the photos, because I have some other photos to shoot with the 35mm camera that has the roll still in it at this present time.  Besides, I am planning on adding those 35mm photos in a separate blog any way with their own slide show here, (that is completely separate from this slide show here!!)

So, without further adieu, below is the slide show!!  Oh, and fair warning, folks  --  I took a ton of photos with my digital camera here, so don't say that I didn't warn you up front here!!  I also hope that you all have a great weekend this weekend as well!!  :)

Introduction & Video Play List

Hello All:

Welcome to this first blog on this chain of stuff about "Outdoorsy stuff."  I am going to start this blog off with a video play list that talks about Krohn Conservatory, inside of Eden Park in Cincinnati, Ohio.  This play list has several different videos that talk about Krohn Conservatory and Eden Park itself.

I will be adding more videos about other "Nature Stuff" in this blog, (which is why it isn't limited to just the Krohn Conservatory here!)  I will eventually be adding a slideshow of photos from when Tony and I went to Krohn Conservatory here in a later blog.

As a side note, in the first video here on the play list, at one point, I accidentally say "Union Terminal" about where Tony and I actually were, but we were actually at the Krohn Conservatory here  --  I just wanted to point this blooper out now.  I hope that you also keep an eye out for that photo slide show as well.
